Instructional Support

I am a product of Fort Worth ISD. I graduated high school from Trimble Tech. Go Bulldogs!! After high school, I went to Tarrant County Junior College and earned my Associate Degree. I have also graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with my Bachelor's Degree in education and I am currently enrolled at Lamar University working on my Master's Degree. I started my teaching career at North Hi Mount Elementary. I had the opportunity to teach 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. I taught 5th-grade Math and Science for 8 years. My current role as an Instructional Coach at D. McRae Elementary is very rewarding. I get to work with amazing teachers who work hard to ensure students leave D. McRae with skills to help them in their college and career futures. Go Tigers!! It has been a pleasure to be apart of the Tiger family for 9 years. The students and faculty here at D. McRae motivate and inspire me every day!

Hola! My name is Moraima Rivas. I am D. McRae’s school counselor. I have been an educator for more than 20 years! This will be my 5th year as a counselor. I am bilingual (Spanish-English). It is an honor to have the opportunity to work with our students, families and staff at D. McRae Elementary. My favorite hobbies are spending time with my family and friends. Go Tigers!

Es un honor para mí tener la oportunidad de trabajar con nuestros estudiantes, familias y personal de la escuela D. McRae. Mis pasatiempos favoritos son pasar tiempo con mi familia y amigos. ¡Arriba los Tigres!

I have been at D. McRae since 2021 and have loved every minute of it. I love the school and community and am honored to take care of your children.  When I am not at work I enjoy cooking and spending time with my family.😊
